Eligibility
For Admission to PSG:
Student must have more than a CGPA of 7.5 out of 10 in their undergraduate courses.
For transfer to Newcastle university:
Must have TOEFL score 80 out of 120 or IELTS > 6.5 and no less than 6 in any individual modules.
About the program
MS in Material Science and Engineering
The University of Newcastle’s Master of Materials Science and Engineering program provides students the opportunity to broaden and/or deepen their Materials Engineering technical competency in one of several specialized areas including materials synthesis, materials characterization techniques, material applications in specific environments, as well as applications of Materials Science in energy, electronics, environment, life science and biology.
Students will gain an understanding of how the processing of a material influences its structure, properties and performance. They will learn to apply this knowledge to address challenging issues in a variety of fields, including education, vehicles, cosmetics, medicine, pharmacy, petroleum, steel, electronics, information technology, energy and environmental technologies, forensic engineering, and space science.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
- All students will have an opportunity to do hands on learning with various cutting- edge instruments currently used in industrial research.
- Our students also have opportunities to meet industry managers and CEOs during industry seminars as a part of their course work and gain insights into the industrial work environment.
- Students may also have the opportunity to visit companies in the industry to watch and learn about industrial research and the production environment.

1st year at PSG and 2nd year in Australia
Study Requirements:
CGPA > 7.0 in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Production, Aeronautics or Automobile Engineering; students passed out from science group of grade1 colleges are also eligible.
IELTS Overall score of 6.5 and no less than 6 in any individual modules (at the time of applying for VISA).
